Résumé

The present paper is a review on the structural approach on social thinking, a research stream that aims at studying the influence of social factors in thinking processes through characterization of relationship structures. The presentation of the approach is followed by concepts and research on social thinking and its related symbolic formations. The conclusion comments on the trend of bridging social thinking and social cognition research traditions and addresses the need of studies focusing on the social origin of the studied processes and the integration of communication into research.
