Résumé

A list of 65 objectives was administered to 45 North American psychologists and to 45 Latin American psychologists. The subjects were asked to write a “ C” or “D” in front of each adjective if, in their opinion, said adjective better described a foreman or managerial personnel. In accordance with the results of this study, there are more similarities than differences among the perceptions of North American and Latin American psychologists insofar as their perceptions about managerial personnel and those in line-supervisory positions are concerned. The descriptive profile of the foreman or line-supervisor consists of an equal number of adjectives with positive connotations and unfavorable ones, while the managerial profile has only favorable features.
