A partir da generalização do uso das redes sociais e da entrada na vida política das gerações nativas digitais, a participação política online também ganhou relevância. O acesso à internet não apenas amplia o acesso a informações politicamente relevantes, mas também amplia o repertório de ações políticas possíveis. Nesse quadro, é valioso desenvolver ferramentas que permitam medir a magnitude e os tipos de participação política digital. Portanto, neste artigo fazemos uma proposta para uma escala de Participação Política Digital (PPD) e fornecemos evidências psicométricas sobre sua confiabilidade e validade interna e externa. Mais especificamente, a Escala PPD foi aplicada a uma amostra de 788 pessoas de 18 a 70 anos da Argentina, selecionadas por meio de uma amostra não probabilística autosselecionada. Os resultados das análises de validade de estrutura mostraram uma estrutura multidimensional de 4 fatores, com ajuste satisfatório. Além disso, as análises de consistência interna forneceram evidências sobre a confiabilidade de cada uma das subdimensões (α=.72 a α=.92). Da mesma forma, evidências de validade externa referentes aos critérios foram obtidas por meio da obtenção de resultados consistentes com a literatura anterior sobre a relação entre PPD e Participação Política Offline (PPO).
