Resumo

A group of 190 subjects divided according to three age groups, two social classes and sex was studied in Mexico City. The age groups were 12, 15 and 18 years of age, and the subjects were secondary school students. All of the Ss responded to a questionnaire containing 22 statements of historic-socio-cultural premises concerning the Mexican family. This questionnaire consisted of questions selected from an earlier questionnaire containing 123 items; those selected had shown the greatest number of statistically significant differences between different groups in prior studies.
